WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Before being able to legally work in the UAE, all non-UAE citizens must hold a valid working permit or license from one of the relevant Health Authorities before beginning employment.

If you do not hold a valid work permit, you must refer to the requirements of the license issuer to determine eligibility. If you meet the requirements, you should then begin applying for that license.

Dataflow Process

In order to obtain a working license in the UAE, candidates must undergo the process of primary source verification which is handled by a company called Dataflow Group.

Dataflow provides compliance and integrity services and was created to protect communities by helping ensure that the professionals serving them are qualified and competent, and to prevent illegal immigration.

The group assists professional bodies in maintaining high standards and safeguarding their members’ reputations by identifying fraudsters and unwanted professionals, verifying their qualifications, and checking individuals against proprietary databases and international watch lists.

To start the Dataflow process, candidates are advised to go to http://www.dataflowgroup.com/applicant-gateway and click on the appropriate governing body tab for which they want to apply for a license and follow the instructions listed.

For questions concerning the application and processing fees, please go to the FAQs part of the site for the license you are applying for further details.
